LANCOM Wi-Fi 6 infrastructures and Dräger OneNet solution ensure mobile patient monitoring
Aachen, 04. July 2023—The German network-infrastructure and security supplier LANCOM Systems and Dräger Medical Systems have successfully completed compatibility tests between the LANCOM Wi Fi 6 access point LANCOM LX-6402, the WLAN controller LANCOM WLC-1000, and the Dräger OneNet solution for medical patient monitoring. The tests certify that these three components interact perfectly in clinical environments. With its Wi-Fi 6 portfolio, LANCOM provides the secure, high-performance, and digitally sovereign basis for digitalization in hospitals and healthcare.
Mobile, Wi-Fi-based state-of-health monitoring contributes significantly to treatment and patient safety in everyday medical practice. Along with pertinent vital-signs data, these systems can also wirelessly transmit emergency signals and nurse calls to a central monitoring and alarm screen. This information can often be critical to survival, so it is absolutely essential to have secure, reliable communication between patient monitors and the Wi-Fi. Crucial for this is not only a high quality radio field, but also a high-performance and stable Wi-Fi infrastructure.
Optimal interaction
Network components and monitors also have to interact optimally with one another. To ensure this, the compatibility of Wi-Fi access points, control systems, and monitors are checked on a regular basis. The technology partners LANCOM Systems and Dräger Medical Systems regularly conduct function tests to validate the operation of the Dräger patient monitors in LANCOM Wi-Fi infrastructures. The smooth interaction of the monitors with the latest LANCOM Wi-Fi 6 access points and controllers is now confirmed with the latest compatibility certificate.
