Dual concurrent Wi-Fi with an aggregated datarate of up to 1,775 Mbps
The LANCOM LX-6200E offers the Wi-Fi 6 standard (IEEE 802.11ax) for fast wireless LAN for clients in the 2.4- and 5-GHz bands. Wi-Fi 6 technology achieves transmission rates of up to 1,200 Mbps at 5 GHz and simultaneously up to 575 Mbps at 2.4 GHz.
Integrated radio module for digital signage
The radio module integrated in the LANCOM LX-6200E for controlling digital displays from the manufacturers VUSION and PDi Digital enables the smooth and cost-efficient implementation of digital signage projects. Electronic price tags or shelf labels in the warehouse, status updates at workstations, information displays - digital signage offers numerous application possibilities. This access point with Wi-Fi 6 ensures both fast, reliable Wi-Fi and parallel, interference-free communication with digital displays.
OFDMA – carpooling in the radio field
Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) divides the frequency range of a Wi-Fi channel into a number of frequency blocks per unit of time. This creates subcarriers, which can be as narrow as just 2 MHz. Small data packets, so typical of IoT devices, no longer block entire 20-, 40- or even 80-MHz channels all by themselves. On the other hand, the Wi-Fi 6 access point is able to bundle multiple subcarriers. This is bit like carpooling, which stops the traffic being blocked by cars with just one occupant: Instead, the streets are freed up with just a few cars carrying several occupants.
2x2 Multi-User MIMO for downlinks and uplinks
Multi-user MIMO (MU-MIMO for short) simultaneously distributes all of the available spatial streams of the LANCOM LX-6200E between several different clients, rather than one after the other as was formerly the case. The available bandwidth is used efficiently and delays in the wireless network are substantially reduced. With Wi-Fi 6, MU-MIMO is not, as before, only usable in the downlink but now also in the uplink as well.
Managed via LANCOM Management Cloud, WLAN controller, or stand-alone
The LANCOM LX-6200E offers the greatest possible versatility in operation: Managed through the LANCOM Management Cloud, it integrates into a holistic, automated network orchestration system based on software-defined networking technology. It is also able to operate with central management by LANCOM WLAN controller or even in stand-alone mode.
Wi-Fi security standard WPA3
WPA3, the successor of WPA2, offers important upgrades and security features for small ("WPA3-Personal") and large networks ("WPA3-Enterprise").
Wi-Fi optimization at the push of a button: LANCOM Active Radio Control 2.0
With the new automation solution LANCOM Active Radio Control 2.0 (ARC 2.0), you rely on holistic, self-learning optimization of your Wi-Fi installation. Real usage data from your LANCOM access points integrated in the LANCOM Management Cloud (except LANCOM LW-500) provide the basis for a predicted, optimal channel distribution, channel width utilization, and transmission power.
All you have to do is activate the LANCOM Active Radio Control 2.0 Wi-Fi scan and have the predicted improvements displayed. One more click and the optimization is applied.
Wi-Fi 6E: 6 GHz band for interference-free Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi 6E transfers the existing Wi-Fi 6 features to the 6 GHz band and thus plays out its advantages to the full, especially in high-density environments: Simultaneous and interference-free operation of many WLAN end devices or IoT devices is favored by Wi-Fi 6E with highest data rates and minimal latency.
How you can benefit from the new technology with the Wi-Fi 6(E)-enabled LANCOM devices is shown on the Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 6E technology page.
Everything NIS2-compliant and digitally sovereign?
Does your technical equipment fulfil the NIS2 requirements? Does it support your digital sovereignty?
The EU directive on network and information security for enterprises, NIS2, may also affect you and sets strict security standards that could require action.
A plus point: measures for NIS2 compliance also strengthen your digital sovereignty. Put your network to the test now!
