Launch LANCOM Trusted Access
We are expanding our solution portfolio with a cloud-managed remote access solution: The new LANCOM Trusted Access Client enables secure and scalable network access for employees in the office, in the home office or on the road and thus protects modern hybrid working from anywhere and at any time.
2021
Usability award
This year LANCOM took overall victory in the independent user survey "Professional User Rating Security Solutions (PUR-S)". This means that LANCOM not only secured the title of champion for the fifth time in a row, but also managed by far one of the few places at the top of the results diamond. In addition, LANCOM get the second placement in the "Champions" field in the PUR IT-Ops user survey in a row.
2019
Acquisition of the firewall division
LANCOM lays the foundation stone for its new Security division. This creates a new LANCOM site in Hamburg. Triple win: LANCOM once again VPN Champion. In the Professional User Rating Security Solutions user survey, LANCOM once again secures the title of "Champion"-for the third time in a row. One of the largest SD-WANs in Europe Together with the Düsseldorf-based ITC company ecotel, LANCOM implements one of the largest SD-WANs in Europe. As part of this major customer project, nearly 8,800 sites across Germany are being networked via the latest generation of VPN.
2017
Corporate awards for LANCOM
LANCOM repeatedly receives Deloitte Fast 50 "Sustained Excellence Award" for sustainable, outstanding growth and #DWNRW Award in the Group category as a driving force for digital transformation. LANCOM develops first virtual VPN router for flexible WAN connections in traditional networks and cloud. Additional location in Karlsruhe. LANCOM opens an additional location in Karlsruhe with a focus on development.
2015
Sustained Excellence Award
Deloitte Germany honors LANCOM Systems with the Sustained Excellence Award 2015 for sustainable growth. E-series becomes "Top Product Retail": The LANCOM E-series receives the "Top Product Retail" gold award from Business Handel at EuroCIS.
2013
BSI certification
The German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) certifies LANCOM CC routers with CC EAL 4+, the highest possible certification for commercial router products.
2010
Visit from the German Chancellor
Chancellor Merkel visits LANCOM for the first time at CeBIT: LANCOM has aroused her interest with the topic of broadband expansion with outdoor WLAN.
2025
New management team
After 23 years, LANCOM founder and Managing Director Ralf Koenzen moved to the LANCOM Supervisory Board as Chairman on March 1. He hands over the management to Constantin von Reden and Chief Sales Officer Robert Mallinson, who is Co-Managing Director.
2022
Two decades of IT history
In this special year, LANCOM looked back on 20 years of company and IT history "Engineered in Germany". The entire company celebrated the anniversary with a ceremony on 19 May. In addition customers and business partners, prominent representatives from politics and the digital economy were also invited. The anniversary also marked the launch of a new corporate design, including a modernised logo.

Best network solution
The channel selects the best, and LANCOM is also included as a Preferred Vendor in the "Networks" category. An exclusive survey of system houses and resellers identified the most popular manufacturers and distributors in the channel. LANCOM also wins the eGovernment Computing Award 2020: In the "Cloud and IT Infrastructure" category, the German network specialist takes silver at the 5th presentation of the coveted prize.
2018
Setting the course for growth
LANCOM becomes a wholly owned subsidiary of the German technology group Rohde & Schwarz, headquartered in Munich. Competitive advantage through wireless patent. LANCOM is awarded a European patent for the integration of WLAN, wireless ePaper and beacons into one platform, thus securing important competitive advantages.
2016
Partner Rohde & Schwarz
The Munich-based electronics group Rohde & Schwarz takes a strategic stake in LANCOM Systems. With the LANCOM Management Cloud, LANCOM launches the first complete solution for cloud-based central network management.
2014
Entrepreneur of the Year
LANCOM founder Ralf Koenzen is awarded the business prize "Entrepreneur Of The Year 2014" for innovative strength and personal commitment. Innovative digital signage: for the first time, LANCOM E-series access points enable professional WLAN coverage combined with wireless maintenance of radio-controlled, battery-operated displays. German Chancellor Dr. Merkel comes to CeBIT for the umpteenth time. She informs herself about the high-security portfolio from LANCOM.
2012
Expansion of management
Stefan Herrlich joins the management as Managing Director Sales in September 2012 and is co-owner from 2013 to 2020.
2008
World firsts
LANCOM launches first 802.11n outdoor access points and first business VPN router with UMTS/ADSL2+ and integrated theft protection.
