VPN Client for 64-bit Windows XP from LANCOM Systems
Aachen, April 08, 2008 - Version 2.03 of the LANCOM Advanced VPN Client is LANCOM Systems' first VPN software client for the 64-bit version of Microsoft Windows XP. Additionally, user authentication by means of certificate key lengths of up to 4096 bits will in future increase security against hacker attacks.
This VPN client unites all of the familiar security and communications functions in a single user interface. These functions include the personal firewall, IPsec VPN, integration of UMTS and HSDPA cards, and wireless LAN support.
The LANCOM Advanced VPN Client is a universal communications program for use in any remote-access VPN situation. The software communicates with the VPN gateways from all of the renowned vendors, enabling it to be operated immediately in these environments. The LANCOM Advanced VPN Client supports not only Vista and Windows XP of the 32- and 64-bit versions, but also the 32-bit version of Windows 2000. This means that installations featuring different versions of the Windows operating systems can be set up with uniform configurations.
