Welcome to the Digital Assistant for the LANCOM security portfolio! Our AI-based solution supports you 24/7 with basic questions on network security, IT security, and LANCOM R&S®Unified Firewalls. When it comes to configuration and troubleshooting of your firewalls, the assistant also searches the LANCOM Knowledge Base for you and offers initial solutions. For questions beyond the assistant’s trained knowledge, the LANCOM sales team is available by phone or via the contact form. For specific configuration questions and support topics, the LANCOM support team is happy to assist you.

Hints: The chatbot processes requests independently, so precisely formulated questions will result in better response quality. However, it is important to remember that AI-based language models can sometimes generate plausible-sounding but incorrect answers.

The digital assistant is still in the testing phase (beta phase). This means that incorrect answers and errors, such as HTML commands in responses or incomplete instructions, may occur and are part of the learning process. 

To improve the response quality, our AI trainers rely on your feedback: Use the anonymous thumbs-up or star rating in the chat or the feedback form to share your feedback directly with us.

Tips & tricks for your chat

Wording

Write precise, and simply expressed queries, so-called prompts. Provide sufficient context so that the questions can be answered better and completely according to your expectations. It is best to formulate questions rather than instructions. If you want to include product names in your questions, make sure they are spelled completely and correctly (e. g. inclusive hyphens).

Interaction

Please only ask one question at a time and wait for the answer before sending another message. If you have further questions, it is best to rephrase your question and add important details. The digital assistant processes requests one after the other; longer conversations / dialogs can impair the response quality. Please avoid off-topic questions to ensure optimum response quality.

Data protection

The chat histories are stored for up to three months without any conclusions being drawn about the user. The questions on quality improvement are evaluated anonymously by our employees who specialize in AI training. However, please do not enter any personal, sensitive or confidential data, but anonymize it if necessary.

The more often you use the chatbot, the better we can help you. Please give us your feedback on the answers (thumbs up/down) so that we can continuously optimize the quality of the answers. Please note that you are using the digital assistant in the desktop version for an optimal appearance.

AI made in Germany

For the solution, we rely on a provider with a platform developed in Europe, including secure data processing and exclusive use of European cloud providers. The large language model (LLM) used is ChatGPT-4o mini, hosted in Europe (MS Azure).
