Partnership for innovative hotspot solutions
LANCOM Systems and Loop21 to cooperate
Aachen/Vienna, April 15, 2013—LANCOM Systems GmbH and Loop21 Mobile Net GmbH have agreed to cooperate on the development of innovative hotspot solutions within the framework of the LANCOM partner program LANstrategy. LANCOM is the leading German specialist for secure VPN network connectivity and wireless LAN infrastructure. Loop21 based in Vienna, Austria is a developer, producer and operator of WLAN hotspot systems. Both companies are involved in the planning and development of products for business customers.
The aim of the cooperation is to develop new wireless solutions for the hotel and leisure industries, such as those operated in shopping and leisure centers. The growing popularity of smartphones and tablets opens up considerable potential for new services that offer added value for customers and visitors. The WLAN hotspot software developed by Loop21, which features location-based services, content, tour guides, and navigation systems, combines the trend in "WLAN Internet" with infotainment. These added-value projects are being implemented all over the world.
