CeBIT 2015: LANCOM Systems presents network solutions for the digital economy

Aachen, February 02, 2015—The ongoing digitalization of our economy and society places high demands on the data infrastructure. In keeping with this year's CeBIT theme d!conomy, LANCOM Systems, the leading German manufacturer of professional network infrastructures, exhibits their solutions for successful digitalization at its booth in Hall 13 (C28). Under the motto "Secure. Networks." LANCOM focuses on secure routers, the all-IP migration by major providers, and its worldwide unique solution for the integration of electronic displays into WLAN infrastructures.

Secure infrastructures

Cyber attacks on businesses and states have reached record levels. Poorly secured infrastructures, security loopholes and backdoors provide easy access for criminals and intelligence services to internal networks, business secrets, and sensitive data.

CeBIT visitors at the LANCOM booth will find a comprehensive portfolio of trusted network solutions that are developed and manufactured in Germany to meet the highest security demands: VPN routers and VPN gateways to establish secure, multi-site networks, professional wireless LAN solutions, and the world's only VPN business routers certified by the German Federal Office for Information Security (“BSI”): the LANCOM CC series.

They all use the operating system LCOS, which is completely developed by LANCOM in a high security environment. What's more, LANCOM guarantees that all of its products are free of backdoors - an essential security feature for professional networks.

All-IP migration solutions

All over Europe major telecommunications companies are switching their networks to all-IP. With analog and ISDN connections becoming obsolete, ISDN customers are worried about their PBX systems and telephony.

At CeBIT, LANCOM presents solutions for the migration from ISDN to all-IP: The LANCOM All-IP option updates existing LANCOM routers to allow ISDN PBXs to continue to operate via the router in all-IP networks. In addition, LANCOM will offer a first look at its new range of all-IP routers due to go on sale in mid-2015.

Worldwide first in digital signage

Traditional signage solutions are increasingly losing relevance. Digital displays are modern, flexible, and optimize processes.

Visitors to CeBIT can see LANCOM's genuine worldwide innovation in digital signage. LANCOM is the first manufacturer to integrate the control over power-saving micro displays (Wireless ePaper Displays) into their WLAN access points. The displays are ideal for a range of applications including electronic price tags in retail, room signage for companies, medical practices, hotels and conference centers, and also for process optimization in logistics and healthcare.

Along with wireless LAN and Wireless ePaper Displays, the E-series access points from LANCOM also support iBeacons to enable the development of forward-looking location-based services, such as personalized advertising via push messages to customers' smartphones.

Integrating these three wireless technologies into a single platform cuts costs, minimizes maintenance and ensures maximum interoperability.

Other exhibition highlights:

LANCOM rounds off these three main exhibits with yet more highlights:

- Powerful WLAN hotspot solutions for the hospitality industry and providers

- A look at version 9.10 of the LANCOM operating system LCOS with features such as the extension of WLANs to 16 SSIDs per radio module, redundancy and backup features, and integrated secure public-key infrastructures

- Centralized and efficient monitoring and management systems for networks of all sizes
