Fully managed 26-port Gigabit Ethernet switch with Power-over-Ethernet for highly reliable, maximum security enterprise networks

LANCOM GS-2326P: Professional network infrastructures from a single source

Aachen, June 06, 2013—LANCOM Systems, the leading German network manufacturer, adds to its line of switches with a new professional device. The LANCOM GS-2326P is a managed layer-2 switch with 24 Gigabit Ethernet ports with PoE support as per 802.3af/at (max. 185 Watts) and two SFP ports for fiber-optic connections. Thanks to extensive security features including port-based access control as per IEEE 802.1X, TACACS+, SSH, SSL and SNMPv3, it is a full-fledged security component for modern enterprise networks. It is also ideal for application in networks for processing payments by credit card and electronic cash (PCI DSS compliance). This switch is LANCOM's response to the needs of small to medium-sized enterprises with high demands on security, management, and being fit for the future.

With a number of intelligent power-saving features such as the shutdown of unused ports as per IEEE 802.3az, automatic power adjustment, and cable-length detection, the LANCOM GS-2326P consumes significantly less power than comparable models. By fully supporting IPv4 and IPv6, the switch is a future-proof platform offering dual-stack operation for the transitional period.

With 56 Gbps throughput and functions such as Quality of Service, rapid spanning tree, port trunking, bandwidth restriction, minimum latency times and the Gigabit backbone connector, the LANCOM GS-2352P is the ideal switch for networks with high bandwidth demands.

Supporting up to 4,000 simultaneous VLANs, the LANCOM GS-2326P provides a basis for efficient network virtualization. Professional port prioritization enables the precise control of data traffic, such as for real-time video or voice applications.

Configuration and management of the switch are performed with a convenient web interface, by command line, with Telnet, or via the serial port (RS 232). Connections can also be encrypted with SSL, SSH, SNMPv3 or HTTPS. Furthermore, the device integrates seamlessly into the LANCOM management tools LANconfig, LANmonitor and the LANCOM Large Scale Monitor (LSM), and it supports SNPv2 management thanks to its integrated MIB.

The LANCOM GS-2326P is available now and comes with a 5-year warranty.
