LANCOM presents the first in their line of Gigabit switches
LANCOM GS-1108: Silent, small, black, and powerful
Aachen, March 18, 2009 - LANCOM Systems premiers their first Gigabit network switch; the LANCOM GS-1108. The first of a new line of products, this is an unmanaged switch with eight Gigabit-Ethernet ports. Further devices are due to for introduction in the coming weeks. Its size and the fan-free design make the LANCOM GS-1108 ideal for operation in smaller offices, business premises, and home offices.
The quality and reliability of convergent networks depends heavily on the quality of the network's switches. With this new line of Gigabit switches, LANCOM offers customers and sale partners a line of components which are fully compatible to the LANCOM product range and in the customary LANCOM quality. The status of the connections is clearly displayed on the front of the switch. The integrated power adapter and the robust metal housing emphasize the professional focus of this device.
The LANCOM GS-1108 is available now at EUR 99 excluding V.A.T. and local taxes.
Gunnar Mayer, Product Manager at LANCOM Systems GmbH: "The GS-1108 is the first of the range of Gigabit switches from LANCOM. Its size and the fact that it operates completely silently make it ideal for offices, business premises and home offices."
