More than 4,500 application experts in security solutions took part in the “Professional User Rating: Security Solutions 2025” of the research and analyst firm techconsult. Services were evaluated in nine product categories, including VPN. Companies are assessed on the basis of the dimensions “Provider” and “Solution”. Manufacturers who achieve an excellent Provider and Solution rating are awarded the title of Champion.
Solution rating: LANCOM top in solution benefits and user-friendliness
The Solution rating includes the criteria performance, range of functions, user-friendliness, solution benefits, user satisfaction, product loyalty, and purchase recommendation. Users stated that the LANCOM VPN solution complies both with the relevant certification standards and with legal and internal company requirements. The IT department is significantly relieved of workload and the risk of damage from security incidents is greatly reduced. Rated particularly positively by the respondents were the user-friendly interface, the uncomplicated configuration, and the comprehensive documentation. They would buy the VPN solution again and would recommend it unreservedly. In the overall comparison, LANCOM Systems leads the field for the Solution rating.
Provider rating: LANCOM is a sustainability champion
The criteria for evaluating providers are the capacity to innovate, the product portfolio, service and support, sales partners, online presence, pricing and purchasing models, sustainability, information, as well as consulting and training services. In the Provider ranking, LANCOM Systems took second place overall. The manufacturer from Würselen stands for a corporate culture that combines innovation with responsibility. LANCOM supports social projects and sustainable initiatives and attaches great importance to energy efficiency and recyclability in the development of their solutions and products. In the sustainability category, the company received the best ranking of all providers. Furthermore, users praised the clearly structured solution descriptions and practice-oriented application examples as well as the extensive range of practical training courses, both online and offline. LANCOM was also able to convince the security experts with its service & support and with its sales partners.
